Refund Policy - Econ Africa Events

1. Overview

Econ Africa is dedicated to delivering high-quality event experiences. This policy explains the circumstances under which ticket holders may qualify for refunds, exchanges, or credits.

2. Ticket Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be granted under the following conditions:

A. Event Cancellation

If Econ Africa cancels an event, ticket holders are entitled to:

  • A full refund or
  • Event credit of equal value
B. Event Postponement

If an event is rescheduled:

  • Tickets remain valid for the new date
  • Customers may request a refund within 14 days of postponement announcement
C. Duplicate / Unauthorized Purchase

If a ticket purchase was made in error or without authorization, Econ Africa will review the case for potential refund.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind
  • Failure to attend for personal reasons
  • Venue, time, or program changes that do not materially affect overall event quality
  • Tickets purchased through unauthorized vendors
  • Late arrival or expulsion due to misconduct
4. Ticket Transfer & Substitution

If a ticket holder cannot attend:

  • Tickets may be transferred to another attendee
  • No additional transfer fee unless stated
  • Requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the event
5. Refund Request Window

Refund requests must be made:

  • Within 14 days of ticket purchase, OR
  • Within 7 days of postponement notice, whichever applies.
6. Processing Refunds
  1. Submit a refund request with proof of purchase
  2. Econ Africa will review the request within 7-10 business days
  3. If approved, refunds will be issued to:
    • The original payment method only

Bank or payment platform processing times may take 5-10 business days.

7. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may apply if:

  • Only part of a multi-day event is canceled
  • Specific services included in premium packages become unavailable

Refund amounts will reflect the undelivered portion.

8. Force Majeure

If an event is disrupted by circumstances beyond Econ Africa’s control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, public safety concerns), Econ Africa may:

  • Reschedule the event
  • Issue credits
  • Offer partial refunds

Full refunds are not guaranteed in such circumstances.

9. Third-Party Tickets

Tickets purchased from authorized third-party sellers are subject to the seller’s refund policy. Econ Africa may not directly process these refunds.
